About the Producer
The Kensatu line of brandies is put out by the Nahapet Brandy Comparny in Yerevan, Armenia. The distillery is relatively new; founded in 2017 and specializes in a line of unaged eau-de-vies. The company is quick to point out that they include no added sugar or other additives. There aren’t too many reviews out there but what’s there are generally positive and they are a good value too at ~$40 per bottle. They have a peach, cornelian, mulberry, plum, pear and apricot brandies.
Note that the first batches of their produce were adverted as fruit vodkas but rest assured they are definitely brandy.

Nose
Peach in many forms, fresh, dried, candied. Medium sweet and a hair tart. A large amount of herbaceousness that is surprising but not bad.
Palate
Sweet, fresh peaches. Herbaceousness is there but toned down vs the nose. Has some chili pepper spiciness in the background. Texture is syrupy and a little prickly and is medium to full bodied. Medium sweet with good flavor intensity.
Finish
Medium with dried peaches and spice.

Overall
A very good peach brandy, my new go-to in the category. It captures the peach essence well and is just tasty with a good body. 100% recommend especially for the price. I’m excited to try more from Kensatu.
