Nose

Crisp ripe pear. Has a mature smell to it, surprising for how shortly in was in demijohns . Nothing out of place, just a very good clean distillate.

Palate

Pear is clear and mellow tasting. No sharp bit, and again has an air of maturity about it. Texture is smooth and velvety. Medium bodied and flavored. Lightly sweet.

Finish

Medium with fresh pears and allspice

Rating: 6

Overall

A highly competent pear brandy and a good option if you can get near you. I like it more than its biggest competitors, like Clear Creek and R. Jelinek. The highlight is the mature taste it has; I can’t really explain other than to say it feels rounded.
