Nose

Syrupy fruit. Port wine, dried raspberries and dried cranberries. Very sweet with a hint of tartness. Smells mature but not much oak. Very mellow and chill.

Palate

Exactly the same a the nose. Sweet and syrupy; I expect some sugar has been added. Tart cranberries and dried raspberries. No oakiness or harshness in any way. Has some reasonable flavors but it’s very mellow and I feel that the sweetness smooths over some of the complexity.

Finish

Short and very sweet.

Rating: 4

Overall

It’s decent for a 40% sugared brandy. This would be a good first brandy for someone; someone not used to drinking straight spirits but people with more experienced will get bored.
