About the Producer
The Lapostolle domaine was founded in 1994 by Alexandra Lapostolleand includes 3 vineyards in the Apalta Valley in Chile. In addition to a whole range of wines they produce several Pisco brandies including this oddity, an oak aged pisco. I don’t think that’s allowed in Peruvian Pisco, which I’m more familiar with but appearently it’s allowed in Chile.

- Aged in ex-Cognac casks
- 40 % abv
- Made from Chilean Pink Muscat and Muscat de Alexandria grapes.
- Double distilled.
Nose
Mint and Lysol. Extremely floral with lavender. A good if unique nose.
Palate
Floral and perfumy but in an overpowering, unbalanced way. Light bodied but medium flavor intensity. Slightly off putting like drinking perfume. Lightly sweet.
Finish
Medium and dry with mint and lavender.

Overall
A bit odd with the perfume character being a bit unbalanced.
