About the Producer
There honestly isn’t a lot of info about Liberty Tree distillery online.They are located in Medfield, MA and beyond apple brandy it looks like they make rum and aged gin. Judging by their most recent social media post its looks like they have primarily moved into making canned cocktails.

• 43% abv
• Double distilled in a vendome copper hybrid still.
• Aged for 3yrs in new american oak barrels and finish in french oak.
• Grapes from the Hudson Valley.
• Blend of McIntosh, Macoun, Cortland and Autumn Crisp apples
• Got for $30 for a 375ml
Nose
Initially leads with an intense plastic smell. Eventually tart apple, toasted oak and caramel. Would be good if there wasn’t that plastic off note.
Palate
Basically the same as the nose. A strong off flavor of plastic pervades followed by apples oak and caramel. Actually has a lot of weight despite being 43% but the texture is harsh and astringent.
Finish
Medium with apples and again plastic.

Overall
So as you probably got from the notes, this wasn’t very good. The plastic note overwhelms the brandy. I get that a lot in craft whiskeys that use small barrels so that might be what happened here. Either way save your money.
