About the Producer
Maison Willm is in the Alsace region of France and was founded by Adolphe Willm 1896. Other than that, there’s not a ton of available info on this brand. In addition to a range of unaged eau-de-vie fruit brandies they produce marc, aged plum brandies, and a whole host of wines.

Nose
Raspberry meat and seeds. Medium sweet. Some off-flavor that I can’t quite identify; maybe so type of funky over-ripe fruit? Some Astringency. Initially very intense but dies out quickly once exposed to oxygen.
Palate
Cooked raspberries. Lighter flavored than the nose would suggest. If blind I would have thought this is 40%. Light bodied and medium sweet. Again some astringency
Finish
Short with raspberries and astringency.
Rating: 4
Overall
This is disappointing. Didn’t preserve enough of the fruit essence and the astringency took it down a notch. Certainly isn’t a drain pour or anything but I would avoid.
